January 1, 2011 - Fitchburg High School senior co-captains Brandon Davis, and Dan Finn,
along with sophomore Christian Capoccia, were selected by the Sentinel and Enterprise as All-Stars for their
outstanding efforts throughtout the 2010 cross country season.
November 13, 2010 - The Fitchburg High School men's cross country team ran to a thirteenth place finish
held at the Gardner Golf Course Saturday morning at the District E, Division I State Qualifier.
Brandon Davis, as he has done all season, led the way for the Red Raiders in the 2.9 mile race, finishing twenty-fourth in 15:39, while
Dan Finn, seventy-fourth, 16:50; Christian Capoccia, seventy-seventh, 16:53; Jason Bugarin, eighty-seventh, 17:12; and Matt Lawrence, one-hundred and second,
17:42, completed the top five for Fitchburg. Also representing the Red Raiders in the race were Eric Fallon, one-hundred and ninth, 17:51, and Joshua
LeShane, one-hundred and twenty-fifth, 18:56.

All-Star Monday night by Mid-Wach A coaches for his outstanding efforts throughtout the 2010 cross country season.
October 29, 2010 - The Fitchburg High School men's cross country team ran to a fifth place finish
Friday afternoon at the Mid-Wach A Championships held at Ghiloni Park in Marlboro.
Brandon Davis led the way for the Red Raiders in the 5K Varsity race, finishing fifteenth in 17:45, while
Dan Finn, twenty-eighth, 19:10; Christian Capoccia, twenty-ninth, 19:18; Jason Bugarin, thirtieth, 19:25; and Matt Lawrence, thirty-third, 19:55,
completed the top five for Fitchburg. Also representing the Red Raiders in the Varsity race were Eric Fallon, thirty-eighth, 20:16, and Joshua
LeShane, fortieth, 20:37.
Competing in the 5K Junior Varisty race were Connor Dufour, eighty-fourth, 23:26; Jack Reynolds, one-hundred and first, 24:19;
Ryain MacLean, one-hundred and fifth, 24:49; Zach Cote, one-hundred and sixth, 24:58; and Chris MacLean, one-hundred and ninth, 27:19.
Fitchburg travels to the Gardner Golf Course, Saturday morning, November 13, with the Division I
race scheduled to get underway at 11:30 a.m.
October 23, 2010 - The Fitchburg High School men's cross country team turned in some top perfomances
Saturday at the 53rd Wachusett Invitational held at Wachusett Regional High School in Holden.
Brandon Davis led the way for the Red Raiders in the 5K Varsity A race, finishing thirteenth in 17:35, while
Christian Capoccia, twenty-eighth, 18:34; Daniel Finn, thirty-fourth, 18:46; and Matt Lawrence, forty-fifth, 19:38, also represented Fitchburg
in the Varsity race.
Competing in the 5K Junior Varisty race were Zach Cote, eighty-first, 24:41; and Chris
MacLean, eighty-seventh, 26:41. Jason Bugarin cracked the top ten in the 5K All-Freshmen race finishing sixth in 18:54;
while fellow freshmen Joshua LeShane, thirty-fourth, 21:39; Ryain MacLean, sixty-second, 23:51; and Connor Dufour, sixty-six,
completed Fitchburg's representation in the meet.
Fitchburg travels to Ghilono Park in Marlboro Friday afternoon with the first race scheduled to get underway
at 3:00 p.m.
October 19, 2010 - The Algonquin Regional men's cross country team was too much
for the Red Raiders Tuesday afternoon, defeating them, 17 - 45, on the Tomahawk's 3 mile course.
Brandon Davis suffered his first dual meet loss of the season finishing third in 16:57,
while teammates Dan Finn, eighth, 17:58; Christian Capoccia, tenth, 17:58; Jason Bugarin, thirteenth, 18:29; and Eric Fallon,
sixteenth, 19:04, rounded out Fitchburg's top five.
Also running well were Matt Lawrence, twenty-second, 19:26; Josh LeShane, twenty-sixth, 20:10; Connor Dufour,
forty-seventh, 23:12; Zach Cote, forty-eighth, 23:15; Ryain MacLean, fifty-eighth, 25:07; and Chris MacLean,
sixty-fourth, 25:10.
Fitchburg travels to Wachusett Regional Saturday morning to compete in the Wachusett Invitational
with the Freshmen Race scheduled to get underway at 11:00 a.m.
October 12, 2010 - The Fitchburg High School men's cross country team was defeated by the Shrewsbury Colonials,
24 - 35, Tuesday afternoon at Coggshall Park's 2.8 mile course.
Brandon Davis finished first in his last race at Coggshall Park in 16:16, while personal bests were turned
in by Dan Finn, fifth, 17:12; Christian Capoccia, sixth, 17:14; Jason Bugarin, twelth, 17:35; and Eric Fallon,
sixteenth, 18:50, rounding out Fitchburg's top five.
Also running well were Josh LeShane, twentieth, 19:36; Mike Gross, twenty-third, 19:50; Jack Reynolds, twenty-ninth,
21:41; Ryain MacLean, thirty-first, 21:50; Zach Cote, thirty-fifth, 22:50; Connor Dufour, thirty-sixth, 22:53; Chris MacLean,
thirty-seventh, 24:28; and Ross McNamara, thirty-eighth, 25:36.
Fitchburg travels to Algonquin Regional next Tuesday afternoon in Northboro with that race scheduled to get underway at 4:00 p.m.
October 8, 2010 - The Fitchburg High School men's cross country team edged out
the Oakmont Regional Spartans, 28 - 29, Friday afternoon at Coggshall Park's 2.8 mile course.
Brandon Davis was first once again with a personal best 16:11, while Christian Capoccia was fourth, 17:39;
Daniel Finn, fifth, 17:42; Jason Bugarin, sixth, 17:44; and Josh LeShane, seventeenth, 19:31, rounded out Fitchburg's top five.
Also running well were Mike Gross, twentieth, 20:35; Jack Reynolds, twenty-first,
21:49; Colton Matthews, twenty-third, 21:54; Connor Dufour, twenty-fourth, 22:08; Ryain MacLean, twenty-sixth,
22:34; Chris MacLean, twenty-eighth, 25:30; and Ross McNamara, twenty-ninth, 26:07.
Fitchburg hosts Shrewsbury next Tuesday afternoon at Coggshall Park with that race scheduled to get underway at 4:00 p.m.
September 28, 2010 - The Fitchburg High School men's cross country team was edged out
by the Milford, 28 - 29, Tuesday afternoon on the Scarlet Hawks' 2.9 mile course.
Brandon Davis was first for the fourth meet this season in 16:14, while Christian Capoccia was third, 17:29;
Daniel Finn, fourth, 17:32; Eric Fallon, tenth, 18:54; and Jason Bugarin, eleventh, 19:11, rounded out Fitchburg's top five.
Also running well were Josh LeShane, twelth, 19:49; Zach Cote, nineteenth, 22:10; Jack Reynolds, twentieth,
22:12; Connor Dufour, twenty-first, 23:07; Alex Gonzalez, twenty-fourth, 25:07; and Ross McNamara, twenty-sixth, 25:41.
Fitchburg hosts Oakmont Regional next Friday afternoon at Coggshall Park with that race scheduled to get underway at 3:30 p.m.
September 21, 2010 - The Fitchburg High School men's cross country team was defeated
by Mid-Wach rival Wachusett Regional, 20-43, Tuesday afternoon at Coggshall Park.
Despite Brandon Davis's first place finish with a personal record of 16:33 over the 2.8 mile course, Wachusett
dominated the race, capturing the next eight spots. Christian Capoccia was tenth, 17:35; Daniel Finn, fourteenth 17:45, while
teammates Jason Bugarin, twenty-fourth, 19:03, and Josh LeShane, twenty-eighth, 19:55, completed Fitchburg's top five.
Also running well were Mike Gross, thirty-first, 20:35; Zach Cote, thirty-ninth, 22:50; Connor Dufour,
fortieth, 23:09; Chris MacLean, forty-second, 26:02; and Colton Matthews, forty-three, 29:51.
Fitchburg travels to Milford next Tuesday afternoon with that race scheduled to get underway at 4:00 p.m.
September 14, 2010 - The Fitchburg High School men's cross country team defeated arch-rival
Leominster, 19-36, Tuesday afternoon on the Devil's 2.9 mile home course.
The Red Raiders swept the top three spots led by Brandon Davis, who finished first in 16:53; Christian
Capoccia, second, 17:29; and Daniel Finn, third, 17:32. Completing the top five for Fitchburg were freshmen Jason Bugarin, fifth, 18:50;
and Josh LeShane, eighth, 19:57.
Also running well were Zach Cote, fifteenth, 22:09; Jack Reynolds, sixteenth, 22:25; Connor Dufour, twentieth, 22:58;
Colton Matthews, twenty-first, 23:29; Ross McNamara, twenty-fourth, 25:27; Chris MacLean, twenty-fifth, 25:36; and Ryain MacLean,
twenty-sixth, 29:41.
Fitchburg hosts Wachusett Regional next Tuesday afternoon with that race scheduled to get underway at 3:30 p.m.
September 7, 2010 - The Fitchburg High School men's cross country team lost their season opener
to North Middlesex Regional, 20-41, Tuesday afternoon at Coggshall Park.
The Red Raiders were led by Brandon Davis, who finished first in the race with a time of 16:53 over the 2.8 mile course.
Teammates Dan Finn, seventh, 18:16; Christian Capoccia, tenth, 19:58; Eric Fallon, eleventh, 20:24; and Jason Bugarin, fourteenth, 22:40,
completed the top five for Fitchburg.
Also running well were Josh LeShane, fifteenth, 22:55; Zack Cote, seventeenth, 23:03; Colton Matthews, eighteenth,
23:14; Jack Reynolds, twentieth, 23:56; Mike Gross, twenty-second, 24:16; Connor Dufour, twenty-third, 24:31; Chris MacLean, twenty-fourth, 26:32;
Ross McNamara, twenty-sixth, 27:12; and Ryain MacLean, twenty-seventh, 29:41.
Fitchburg travels to Leominster next Tuesday afternoon with that race scheduled to get underway at 3:30 p.m.
