November 13, 2011 - As a result of yesterday's District E Championship Meet held on the Gardner Golf Course,
the Fitchburg High School men's cross country team finished tied for sixth overall in Mid-Wach A. Team scores were calculated by extracted the Mid-Wach A teams' runners,
updating their positions in the race, and totaling each team's points.
Leading the way for the Red Raiders in Mid-Wach A was Jason Bugarin, who finished fourteenth over the 2.9 mile course
in 16:00.0. Completing the scoring for Fitchburg were: Josh LeShane, thirty-fourth, 17:49.7; Ryain MacLean, thirty-eighth,
18:24.7; Christian Capoccia, forty-third, 19:14.3; and Jason Morehead, forty-fourth, 19:29.6. Connor Dufour was Fitchburg's
sixth runner, finishing forty-sixth, 20:16.0; while Ezra Brice was Fitchburg's seventh runner finishing forty-seventh, in 21:57.0.
November 12, 2011 - The Fitchburg High School men's cross country team ran to a sixteenth place finish at
the District E, Central Massachusetts Cross Country Championships, held at the Gardner Golf Course Saturday morning.
Leading the way for the Red Raiders in the Division I Race was Jason Bugarin, who finished twenty-seventh over the 2.9 mile course
in 16:00.0. Completing the scoring for Fitchburg were: Josh LeShane, eighty-ninth, 17:49.7; Ryain MacLean, one-hundred and ninth,
18:24.7; Christian Capoccia, one-hundred and twenty-third, 19:14.3; and Jason Morehead, one-hundred and twenty-ninth, 19:29.6. Connor Dufour was Fitchburg's
sixth runner, finishing one-hundred and thirty-eighth, 20:16.0; while Ezra Brice was Fitchburg's seventh runner finishing one-hundred and forty-fifth, in 21:57.0.
October 22, 2011 - The Fitchburg High School
men's cross country team ran to a ninth place finish in Class A at the 54th Wachusett Invitational held Saturday morning on Wachusett Regional's
3.1 mile course.
In the Class A Varsity Race Jason Bugarin led the way finishing sixteenth in 17:46, while teammates Christian Capoccia, thirty-first, 18:52,
Connor Dufour, fifty-eighth, 21:09, Ryain MacLean, sixtieth, 21:26, and Jason Morehead, sixty-first, 21:30,
rounded out Fitchburg's top five. Josh LeShane was Fitchburg's sixth runner, finishing sixty-third, in 23:29. In the Class A Junior Varsity
Race Derek Blackington was seventy-third in 24:21.
Fitchburg travels to Ghiloi Park in Marlboro Thursday afternoon to compete in the Mid-Wach A Championship meet
with the Varsity race scheduled to get underway at 3:00 p.m.
October 18, 2011 - The Fitchburg High School
men's cross country team was defeated by the Algonquin Regional Tomahawks, 17 to 45, Tuesday afternoon at Coggshall's 2.9 mile course.
Jason Bugarin led the way finishing fourth in 17:09, while teammates Christian Capoccia, fifteenth, 18:51,
Connor Dufour, twenty-seventh, 20:34, Ryain MacLean, twenty-eighth, 20:35, and Jason Morehead, twenty-ninth, 20:41,
rounded out Fitchburg's top five.
Also running well were Ezra Brice, forty-third, 23:37, and Derek Blackington, forty-fourth, 31:48.
Fitchburg travels to Wachusett Regional Saturday morning, to compete in the Wachusett Invitational with the Varsity
race scheduled to get underway at 10:00 a.m.
October 11, 2011 - The Fitchburg High School
men's cross country team was defeated by the Shrewsbury Colonials, 15 to 48, Tuesday afternoon on Shrewsbury's 3.1 mile course.
Jason Bugarin led the way finishing sixth in 18:36, while teammates Christian Capoccia, ninth, 19:53,
Josh LeShane, thirteenth, 20:31, Connor Dufour, twenty-first, 23:01, and Jason Morehead, twenty-second, 23:21,
rounded out Fitchburg's top five.
Also running well were Ryain MacLean, twenty-seventh, 24:06, Derek Blackington, thirty-first, 26:37, and Ezra Brice, thirty-third,
36:49.
Fitchburg hosts Algonquin Regional next Tuesday, with that meet scheduled to get underway at 4:00 p.m.
September 27, 2011 - The Fitchburg High School
men's cross country team was defeated by the Milford Scarlet Hawks, 22 to 39, Tuesday afternoon on Coggshall Park's 2.9 mile course.
Jason Bugarin led the way finishing second in 17:18, while teammates Christian Capoccia, fourth, 18:07,
Josh LeShane, twelfth, 20:16, Connor Dufour, fourteenth, 21:26, and Ryain MacLean, sixteenth, 22:09,
rounded out Fitchburg's top five.
Also running well were Jason Morehead, eighteenth, 22:23, Johnathan Rodriguez, nineteenth, 22:43. and Ezra Brice, twenty-second, 24:54.
Fitchburg travels to Shrewsbury Tuesday, October 11, with that meet scheduled to get underway at 4:00 p.m.
September 20, 2011 - The Fitchburg High School
men's cross country team was defeated by the Wachusett Regional, 16 to 47, Tuesday afternoon on the Mountaineers' 3.1 mile course.
Jason Bugarin led the way finishing fifth in 19:07, while teammates Christian Capoccia, eleventh, 20:03,
Josh LeShane, seventeenth, 21:30, Connor Dufour, twenty-third, 23:05, and Jason Morehead, thirtieth, 25:11,
rounded out Fitchburg's top five.
Also running well were Ryain MacLean, thirty-second, 25:14, Ezra Brice, thirty-fourth, 25:43, Luis Aguero, thirty-fifth, 26:09,
and Derek Blackington, thirty-sixth, 27:40.

in 19:40.7, Connor Dufour, seventh, 21:32.8, Jason Morehead, sixteenth, 26:05.3, and Luis Aguero, eighteenth, 26:16.4,
rounded out Fitchburg's top five.

September 8, 2011 - The Fitchburg High School
men's cross country team lost their season opener to North Middlesex Regional, 18 to 43, Tuesday afternoon at the Patriots 3.1 mile course at
the Hawthorne Brook Middle School in Townsend.
Jason Bugarin led the way finishing third in 19:00, while teammates Christian Capoccia was seventh in 20:22,
Josh LeShane, twelfth, 21:07, Connor Dufour, fourteenth, 22:27, and Ezra Brice, twentieth, 26:18, to round out Fitchburg's top five.
Freshman John Rodriguez also ran well finishing twenty-first in 29:32.
Fitchburg hosts arch-rival Leominster next Tuesday afternoon at Coggshall Park scheduled to get underway at 3:30 p.m.
