November 16, 2013 - Fitchburg High School senior Jason Bugarin finished his cross country career for the Red Raiders Saturday morning, finishing sixty-fifth out of one hundred and eighty-one boys at the MIAA Division I State Championship meet held at the Gardner Golf Course. Bugarin covered the 2.9 mile course in 15:42, improving upon his time from last week's Central MA Qualifier.
November 9, 2013 - The Fitchburg High School boys' cross country
team ran to a twelfth place finish at the Central Massachusetts Division I Qualifier held Saturday morning at the Gardner Golf Course.
Jason Bugarin led the way for the Red Raiders, finishing eighteenth over the 2.9 mile course. Bugarin's place in the meet earned him a spot in next Saturday's MIAA State Division I Championsip Meet scheduled to get underway at 11:40 a.m. Rounding out the scoring for Fitchburg were Diosmar Reynoso, thirty-ninth, 16:23; Josh Higgins, seventy-eighth, 17:21; Jared Morcaldi, eighty-second, 17:25; and Tanner Hansen, one-hundred and first, 17:58. Anthony Detmer, one-hundred and fifteenth, 18:37; and Connor Dufour, one-hundred and twentieth, also represented Fitchburg in the meet.
October 26, 2013 - The Fitchburg High School boys' cross country
team ran to a fifth place finish at the Mid-Wach League A Championship Meet held at Ghiloni Park in Marlboro Saturday morning.
In the Varsity Race the Red Raiders were led by Jason Bugarin, who finished eighth over the 5K course in 16:59. By finishing in the top ten Bugarin earned MWL All-Star status. Rounding out the scoring for Fitchburg were Diosmar Reynoso, twenty-sixth, 18:59; Josh Higgins, thirty-second, 19:35; Jared Morcaldi, thirty-third, 19:41; Anthony Detmer, thirty-fourth, 19:44; Tanner Hansen, thirty-eighth, 21:15; and Connor Dufour, thirty-ninth, 21:27. In the Junior Varsity 5K race Noah Giordano was sixty-sixth, 22:54; and Ontoniel Reyes-Perez, seventy-seventh, 25:32.
The Red Raiders travel to the Gardner Golf Course Saturday, November 9th, to compete in the State Qualifier, with the Division I race scheduled to get underway at 11:00 a.m.
Undefeated Oakmont Outpoints Red Raiders
October 16, 2013 - The Fitchburg High School boys' cross country
team lost to the Oakmont Regional, 23-36, Wednesday afternoon on the Coggshall 2.9 mile course.
Jason Bugarin finished his senior season undefeated on the Coggshall course, finishing first in 15:42. Rounding out the top five were Joshua Higgins, fourth, 17:10; Diosmar Reynoso, ninth, 17:57; Jared Morcaldi, tenth, 18:16; and Anthony Detmer, twelfth, 19:18. Also running well were Connor Dufour, fourteenth, 19:49; Tanner Hansen, eighteenth, 20:45; Noah Giordano, twentieth, 22:20; and Ontoniel Reyes-Perez, twenty-second, 24:32.
The Red Raiders travel to Ghiloni Park in Marlboro a week from Saturday to compete in the Mid-Wach A League Championship scheduled to get underway at 11:00 a.m.
October 12, 2013 - The Fitchburg High School boys' cross country
team ran to a fourth place finish at the 56th Annual Wachusett Invitational held at Wachusett Regional, Holden.
In the Class A Varisty Race the Red Raiders were led by Jason Bugarin, who finished eighth over the 5K course in 17:15. Rounding out the scoring for Fitchburg were Diosmar Reynoso, twenty-fourth, 18:44; Josh Higgins, thirtieth, 19:36; Jared Morcaldi, thirty-third, 19:45; and Connor Dufour, forty-first, 20:54. In the Class A Junior Varsity 5K race Tanner Hansen finished thirty-fifth, 21:51; and Ontoniel Reyes-Perez, fifty-fourth, 28:28. In the All Freshmen 5K race Noah Giordano was forty-sixth, 22:19.
The Red Raiders host Oakmont Regional Wednesday afternoon at Coggshall Park scheduled to get underway at 4:00 p.m.
October 8, 2013 - The Fitchburg High School boys' cross country
team lost to the North Middlesex Regional, 22-32, Tuesday afternoon on the Patriot's 3.0 mile course.
Fitchburg was once again led by Jason Bugarin, who finished second in 17:04. Rounding out the top five were Diosmar Reynoso, sixth, 18:55; Josh Higgins, seventh, 19:25; Jared Morcaldi, eighth, 19:30; and Anthony Detmer, tenth, 20:41. Also running well were Connor Dufour, eleventh, 21:31; Tanner Hansen, fourteenth, 23:14; Noah Giordano, fifteenth, 23:54; and Ontoniel Reyes-Perez, nineteenth, 26:44.
The Red Raiders travel to Wachusett Regional Saturday morning to compete in the Fifty-Sixth Annual Wachusett Invitational with the Class A Race scheduled to get underway at 12:30 p.m.

team lost to the Wachusett Regional Mountaineers, 20-41, Tuesday afternoon on the Mountaineers 5K course.
Fitchburg was once again led by Jason Bugarin, who finished first in 17:27. Rounding out the top five were Diosmar Reynoso, seventh, 19:27; Josh Higgins, twelfth, 20:02; Jared Morcaldi, thirteenth, 20:04; and Anthony Detmer, seventeenth, 21;35. Also running well were Connor Dufour, nineteenth, 22:15; Tanner Hansen, twenty-second, 26:32; Noah Giordano, twenty-third, 26:48; and Ontoniel Reyes-Perez, twenty-fourth, 29:22.

team was defeated by Shrewsbury, 20-41, Tuesday afternoon on the Colonial's 5K course.
Fitchburg was once again led by Jason Bugarin, who finished first in 18:26. Rounding out the top five were Diosmar Reynoso, seventh, 20:02; Josh Higgins, twelfth, 20:36; Jared Morcaldi, sixteenth, 21:16; and Connor Dufour, twenty-second, 22:41. Also running well were Anthony Detmer, twenty-third, 22:54; Noah Giordano, thirty-second, 29:34; and Ontoniel Reyes-Perez, thirty-fourth, 30:19.

team fell to 0-2, losing to Algonquin Regional, 20-43, Tuesday afternoon on the Coggshall Park 2.9 mile course.
Fitchburg was led by Jason Bugarin, who finished first in a personal best, 15:49. Rounding out the top five were Joshua Higgins, tenth, 17:54, Diosmar Reynoso. eleventh, 17:57; Jared Morcaldi, fifteenth, 18:50; and Connor Dufour, twenty-sixth, 19:45. Also running well were Anthony Detmer, thirty-second, 20:02; Tanner Hansen, forty-fourth, 24:40; Noah Giordano, forty-fifth, 24:40; and Ontoniel Reyes-Perez, forty-sixth, 26:50.

team opened up with a hard fought 26-31 loss to arch-rival Leominster Tuesday afternoon on the Coggshall Park 2.9 mile course.
Fitchburg was led by Jason Bugarin, who finished first in 16:03. Rounding out the top five were Diosmar Reynoso. fourth, 17:59; Josh Higgins, fifth, 18:37; Jared Morcaldi, ninth, 19:11; and Connor Dufour, twelfth, 20:01. Also running well were Anthony Detmer, fourteenth, 20:56; Ontoniel Reyes-Perez, twenty-first, 28:29; and Noah Giordano, twenty-second, 29:56.
